Woman

The female face and form are at the apex of art and always have been, ever since the beginning of time, when sex was invented.

I stand somewhere in between of Leonardo and Picasso in my degree of admiration and fascination for the female of the species. They inspire me, and when I create the model - the homonculus - I see them as real beings...alive with the spirit of thought...

I am fortunate to have three outstanding women in my life - my wife and daughters. But in a metaphysical and phonics sense, I often hear the refrain from the Eagles in my head...'I've got Seven women on my mind...Four who want to own me...Two who want to stone me...One says she's a friend of mine...'

Women can be wonderful and/or terrible creatures. Of course, so can we all.  I celebrate The Woman as highest possible subject, for She is undoubtedly the greatest of all mysteries...

The fairer sex
The distaff side
Wife mother lover friend
Impossible to comprehend.

The point is that woman is the ultimate mystery to men.
Only as it should be... for a woman balances man, and give him all the things he lacks...
As the surrealist mantra goes;
"What is there to love - if not the Enigma."
